BYD will launch the Qin MAX on August 13, packing second-generation Blade battery flash-charging that tops up 10–97 percent in roughly nine minutes. The mid-size sedan also offers optional LiDAR-assisted driving and adaptive damping, pushing flagship technology into the 115,000–155,000 yuan price band.

Flash Charging and Powertrain
The pure-electric Qin MAX uses a 900-volt architecture with BYD’s Blade 2.0 battery. The long-range EV variant pairs a 240 kW rear motor with a 64.3 kWh pack for 630 km of CLTC range, while a standard 530 km version uses a 120 kW motor and 52.9 kWh battery. BYD claims cold-weather charging has improved dramatically, summarising the profile as “five minutes good, nine minutes full.”
The DM-i plug-in hybrid comes with a 1.5-litre range extender and a 175 kW motor, offering 230 km or 320 km of pure-electric range from 25.3 kWh and 34.3 kWh LFP packs respectively. Combined range is expected to exceed 1,500 km.
Dimensions, Cabin and ADAS
Measuring 4,866 mm long on a 2,820 mm wheelbase, the Qin MAX is 36 mm longer than the Qin L with a 30 mm wheelbase stretch. The fastback silhouette features half-hidden door handles and a full-width Chinese-knot taillight. Inside, a rotating central display, 10.8-inch head-up display and four-zone voice recognition headline the DiLink 150 cabin, while high trims add a refrigerator, 50W wireless charging and heated/ventilated/massage seats.

Two ADAS tiers are available: the standard God’s Eye C with AEB and 540-degree camera, and the optional God’s Eye B with roof-mounted LiDAR, highway and urban NOA, and full-scenario memory parking. The LiDAR option is expected to cost around 12,000 yuan. High-trim models also gain DiSus-C adaptive damping that adjusts shock stiffness in real time.
The Qin MAX directly targets the Tesla Model 3, Xpeng Mona M03 and Deepal L06 while undercutting all three on price. BYD’s vertical integration — producing its own batteries, motors and semiconductors — allows the company to offer equipment levels that rivals cannot match at equivalent prices.
