XPeng’s First Three-Row Flagship Lands: GX Opens Pre-Sale at 269,800 RMB With 24,863 Orders in 12 Hours

XPeng has finally answered the question Chinese family-SUV shoppers have been asking for two years: where is the brand’s three-row flagship? The answer is the GX (internal codename G95), a full-size six-seat SUV unveiled at XPeng AI Day 2026 with pre-sale guidance pricing of 269,800 to 359,800 RMB (about 37,200 to 49,600 USD). Customer deliveries to first-tier Chinese cities begin in late June 2026, with full nationwide ramp targeted by the end of August.

The order book is what made the launch newsworthy beyond the spec sheet. XPeng booked 24,863 large-deposit reservations within the first 12 hours and roughly 70,000 by mid-June — an unusually fast start for a 30-RMB-wan family SUV in a market where the Aito M9 and Li L9 have spent two years entrenching themselves at the top of the segment.

Two Powertrains Off One All-New X-SEA 3.0 Architecture

The GX is XPeng’s first car shipped simultaneously in extended-range and battery-electric form off a single chassis platform. The EREV pairs a 1.5T range extender, a 60 kWh ternary battery, and 240 kW front plus 320 kW rear motors for 1,450 km of CLTC combined range and 360 km on electricity alone. The 800 V BEV swaps in a 105 kWh pack, supports 480 kW peak DC fast charging on an XPeng S5 supercharger, and quotes 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.

Both trims share rear-wheel steering, dual-chamber air springs and CDC active dampers as standard. Body dimensions land at 5,235 mm long with a 3,120 mm wheelbase, putting the GX squarely between the Li L9 and the Aito M9 on length and only slightly shorter than the all-new BYD Tang EV unveiled the same week.

2,250 TOPS XNGP Stack, 27-Speaker Audio and a Pricing Cut Versus Aito

XPeng’s second-generation VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model is standard on every GX trim, running across the in-house Turing AI chip and a Snapdragon Ride platform for 2,250 TOPS of effective ADAS compute. City NOA, highway-to-parking memory routing and autonomous valet parking are unlocked from the entry trim with no software paywall — an unusual move at this price band. Cabin highlights include a 17.3-inch rotating touchscreen on a Snapdragon 8397 cockpit chip, a 27-speaker XPeng Acoustic Lab system, and 12-point hot-stone massage on every captain’s chair.

At pre-sale, the GX undercuts comparable Aito M9 trims by roughly 80,000 to 100,000 RMB and the Li L9 by 50,000 RMB at the entry. For the trim-by-trim sensor stack, full powertrain comparison and the company’s order-book commentary, see iEVChina’s complete XPeng GX pre-sale coverage.
