Mercedes-Benz has officially debuted the All-New GLC L EV, a long-wheelbase electric SUV that proves legacy luxury still has a dominant place in the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) era. By blending a century of design heritage with a China-exclusive “L” chassis, the GLC L EV is set to redefine the premium family SUV segment.
A Heritage-Inspired Future The GLC L EV stands out with its “Retro-Shield” grille, a nod to the 1900 classic Mercedes aesthetic. However, it is anything but old-fashioned. The grille features 942 integrated backlit units and an illuminated “breathing” Star emblem. Complementing this is a new Digital LED light system that offers adaptive high-beam precision.
The Luxury of Space: 3027mm Wheelbase Understanding the Chinese market’s demand for rear-cabin excellence, Mercedes has elongated the chassis to a massive 3027mm wheelbase—55mm longer than the international variant.
- Exclusive 6-Seater Layout: For the first time, this model offers a 2+2+2 configuration with independent luxury seats in the second row.
- Smart Storage: Breaking tradition, it includes a 128L “frunk” (front trunk), perfect for premium carry-on luggage.
The “Starry Sky” Digital Cockpit Inside, the 39.1-inch MBUX Superscreen acts as the digital heart of the vehicle, powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip. Passengers can enjoy a Burmester® surround sound system under a “Starry Sky Canopy”—a panoramic roof with 162 integrated stars and 9 levels of adjustable transparency.
