Avatr 07L Heads to July 2026 Reveal With Made-in-China Tri-Motor Flagship and Huawei 896-Line LiDAR

by codydbadmin · June 25, 2026

Made-in-China premium brand Avatr — the Changan-Huawei-CATL joint venture — has confirmed a July 2026 reveal for the long-wheelbase Avatr 07L, alongside a new exterior paint named “Chord Moon Silver” and the brand’s first tri-motor flagship variant. The mid-large five-seat SUV stretches its wheelbase from the regular 07’s 2,940 mm to 2,990 mm, gains an optional Huawei 896-line LiDAR, and positions one rung above its sibling in Avatr’s lineup.

Key Hardware Upgrades

The 07L sits on the same Changan-Huawei-CATL CHN platform as the existing Avatr 12 and 11, but with refined high-voltage hardware. The base dual-motor AWD trim pushes a combined 425 kW (570 hp), paired with a ~100 kWh usable CATL NMC pack and a CLTC range near 710 km. The headline addition is the new tri-motor flagship — Avatr’s first — which uses one front motor and twin rear motors with torque vectoring, lifts combined output to roughly 580 kW (778 hp), and drops the 0-100 km/h sprint to around 3.2 seconds. That puts it in the same performance bracket as the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra and Zeekr 001 FR.

Huawei Tech Stack: ADS 4.0 + 896-Line LiDAR

The Avatr 07L is expected to ship with Huawei’s ADS 4.0 driver-assist stack as standard on mid and top trims, with an optional 896-line LiDAR on the front bumper — roughly double the angular resolution of the 192-line system on the Avatr 12. Inside, HarmonyOS 4 drives Avatr’s customized “Avatr Pad+” interface across a 15.6-inch center touchscreen, a 12.3-inch passenger display, and a full-width AR head-up display. The flagship trim adds Meridian audio with 23 speakers.

Pricing and What’s Next

Avatr hasn’t formalized pricing yet, but industry expectations place the entry 07L near 320,000 RMB ($44,140) and the tri-motor flagship near 450,000 RMB ($62,070). The July reveal is likely to be combined with pre-sale opening, with customer deliveries starting October 2026. Right-hand-drive markets — Middle East, Southeast Asia and select European countries — are flagged for late-2027 export consideration, making the 07L one of Avatr’s most export-ready models on paper.
