On May 27, 2026, Arcfox — BAIC’s premium NEV brand — officially launched the all-new Xiangdao V9 large MPV. Built on BAIC’s Polaris fully digital high-end architecture and co-developed with Huawei, the V9 enters one of China’s most competitive premium MPV segments, taking direct aim at the BYD Denza D9 and Voyah Dreamer.
Pricing was announced in two tiers: an MSRP of RMB 214,800 to RMB 269,800 (~$29,600–$37,200) and a limited-time promotional price of RMB 194,800 to RMB 249,800 (~$26,900–$34,500) — undercutting both major rivals, which start above RMB 300,000.

Exterior Design
The Xiangdao V9 is built around Arcfox’s ARC-FLOW design language with a star-ring LED light bar across the front and brand logo. Six body colors are available — Cloud White, Obsidian Black, Cloud-Mist Grey, Ink-Dye Green, Star-Sea Blue and Bright-Moon Silver.
A sliding side door is standard, paired with conventional flush handles. The rear features a full-width LED light bar and an integrated rooftop spoiler. Body dimensions are 5,300 × 1,980 × 1,850 mm with a 3,200 mm wheelbase and a 360-liter trunk in 7-seat configuration.

Interior: Three-Row Luxury Cabin
The cabin uses Arcfox’s wrap-around dashboard layout with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a floating 15.6-inch center display. A 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen is optional. The infotainment runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8775 cockpit-and-driving SoC, supporting six-zone AI voice control with 500+ customizable scenarios — meaning passengers in any of the three rows can issue commands.
Interior color options include Snow White, Danxia Brown and Elegant Black.
The second row features two zero-gravity captain’s chairs with 124° recline, 16-point massage, electric leg rests, and graphene-based heating and ventilation. A folding tray table and an 11-liter dual-zone fridge (-6 °C to +50 °C) are included.
Audio is handled by a 22-speaker premium system with overhead sky-channel drivers and integrated front-headrest speakers, combined with 24 acoustic damping zones and 5 mm dual-layer laminated glass.
The third row gets 500 mm cushion length, three-stage seat heating and rail-mounted sliding adjustability — making it genuinely usable for adults on long trips. Forty interior storage compartments are scattered throughout the cabin.
Suspension and Driver Assistance
Underneath, the V9 uses a full-aluminum double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension. The top trim adds the magnetorheological “Lingyun” damper system, which uses iron-particle-filled fluid to adjust damping in milliseconds based on road conditions — a feature exclusive to the V9 in this class. A road-preview camera system scans the road ahead for bumps and pre-conditions the suspension.
Driver assistance is handled by Arcfox’s Yuanjing intelligent system, which supports highway and urban NOA, plus parallel, perpendicular and diagonal automatic parking.
For a deeper analysis of how the magnetorheological system works, see our Xiangdao V9 launch analysis.
Powertrain: Huawei EREV with 1,330 km Range
The Xiangdao V9 is powered by Huawei’s Snow Owl smart silent EREV system, combining a 1.5T range-extender (118 kW) with a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 227 kW and 320 Nm of torque. Two battery options are offered:
| Battery | Type | Pure EV (CLTC) | Combined Range (CLTC) | 0-100 km/h |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 37 kWh | LFP | 216 km | 1,250 km | 7.9 s |
| 53.4 kWh | NCM | 310 km | 1,330 km | 8.4 s |
The 800V-class battery supports 3C/4C ultra-fast charging — 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
Why It Matters
The Chinese premium MPV segment is one of the toughest in the industry, dominated by the Denza D9, Voyah Dreamer and Li Auto MEGA. Arcfox’s strategy with the Xiangdao V9 is clear: undercut the competition by RMB 50,000–100,000 while matching or exceeding them on tech — the magnetorheological suspension and Huawei smart driving stack being the headline differentiators. With Beijing’s BAIC distribution backbone and Huawei’s brand pull, the V9 has a credible shot at carving meaningful share from a segment that has historically been brand-driven.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the Arcfox Xiangdao V9 cost?
The official guide price ranges from RMB 214,800 to RMB 269,800. With the limited-time launch promotion, prices drop to RMB 194,800–249,800 (~$26,900–$34,500).
What is the range of the Arcfox Xiangdao V9?
The base 37 kWh trim offers 216 km of pure-electric range and 1,250 km combined. The top 53.4 kWh trim hits 310 km pure EV and 1,330 km combined under the CLTC cycle.
Does the Xiangdao V9 use Huawei technology?
Yes — the EREV powertrain is Huawei’s Snow Owl system. However, the V9 uses Arcfox’s own Yuanjing driver-assist suite rather than Huawei ADS, distinguishing it from the AITO and Aito-branded models.
How does it compare to the Denza D9?
The D9 starts above RMB 300,000, making the Xiangdao V9 roughly RMB 100,000 cheaper at the base. The V9 offers a larger body, higher feature count and a unique magnetorheological suspension, but the D9 has stronger brand recognition in the premium MPV space.
