SAIC Volkswagen has officially confirmed the late May 2026 launch of its highly anticipated PHEV duo: the Passat ePro and Tiguan L ePro. This strategic release marks a pivotal moment in VW’s electrification journey, blending legacy reliability with futuristic technology.
The End of Range Anxiety
The standout feature of the “ePro” series is undoubtedly the range. Leveraging an advanced hybrid system, the Passat ePro achieves a comprehensive range of 1,468 km, while the Tiguan L ePro follows closely at 1,423 km. For global commuters, this represents a seamless transition to low-carbon driving without the typical limitations of pure EVs.
Passat ePro: Modernizing the Executive Sedan
Measuring over 5 meters in length, the Passat ePro redefines the executive cabin. Its “IQ.Light” system, featuring an illuminated logo and full-width light bar, gives it a distinct visual identity. With a 2,871mm wheelbase, it offers class-leading rear legroom, perfect for business or premium family use.
Tiguan L ePro: SUV Luxury Redefined
The Tiguan L ePro introduces the “Queen’s Seat”—a specialized co-driver seat designed for maximum comfort. The cabin is dominated by a triple-screen setup, providing an immersive digital experience for both the driver and the front passenger.
Key Highlight: Both models bridge the gap between high-performance German engineering and the practical needs of modern eco-conscious drivers.
